Research and Reference Services:

The Library does provide genealogical and historical research services for those who cannot come in. There is a fee for this service. Inquiries maybe submitted in writing or via e-mail (both addresses below). E-mail requests will receive an acknowledgment within 3 days. Genealogical and history research is conducted on an “as time permits” basis, and may take several weeks. Please realize our newspapers on microfilm are not indexed, and each month of publication may be a full roll of film. Therefore, any request for events or obituaries published in the local newspapers must include the actual date of death or the actual date of the event, within one week.
